The only measurement that is necessary is the interior width of the locker. Since lockers come in standard incremental widths (7.5, 9,12, 15 and 18″), precise measurements are not necessary- rough measurements using an 8.5 x 11″ peice of paper provides a perfect measurement reference. If the inside is slightly larger than the narrow side of the paper (8.5″) than your locker is a 9″- if slightly larger than the 11″ side than it is a 12″…
The height of the LockerShelf™ is usually based on combination of personal preference and locker size. We recommend using the standard double when possible as it packs the biggest punch in terms of storage. The standard double fits all single tier( one tall locker) and double tier ( 2 lockers – top and bottom) lockers styles. The Mini Double and Single were designed for the real tiny lockers (3 tier) or they can be stacked with other LockerShelf™ products for even more organization!
Keep in mind the LockerShelf™ is not freestanding and gets its strength and durability from the walls of the locker so it is important that you choose the right size.
